Manual Controls

Standard manual controls for our roller shades include:

  • Tensioned chain clutch system
    • Pulley system to raise and lower
    • Stainless steel beaded chain loop, tensioned
    • Paired with 10lb, 20lb, or 24lb clutch determined by manufacturer based on size of shade and fabric selected
    • Shades raise and lower smoothly, stop when chain is released
    • Self-lubricating; never needs adjusting
    • Default placement on right side; left placement available as option
  • Optional upgraded controls
    • Crank control clutch system
      • Long crank arm for hard-to-reach areas or large installations
      • Paired with compact bi-directional gear assembly
      • Precise control, with minimal effort
      • Easily operate tall, wide, or heavy shades
      • Detachable crank by default; permanently attached crank available
    • Coupled shade control
      • Adjacent shades are linked together
      • Easily operate multiple shades from a single controller
      • Ensures that all shades are lowered/raised to the same position for a consistent look

Standard manual controls for our horizontal and vertical blinds, soft sheer shades, and cellular shades include:

  • Dual braided polyester lift cords
    • Comes standard with most horizontal blinds, sheer shades, and cellular shades
    • Pull on cords to raise or lower
    • Pull to the side to secure in desired position
    • Default placement on right side; left placement available as option
    • Loose cord not suitable for areas where children are present
  • Tilt wand
    • Comes standard with most horizontal blinds
    • Rotate the wand to adjust angle of slats
    • Some blinds use an separate cord for tilt instead of a wand
    • Default placement on left side; right-side placement available as option
  • Tilt / traverse wand
    • Comes standard with most vertical blinds
    • Rotate the wand to adjust angle of slats
    • Pull wand horizontally to open or stack blinds
    • Some blinds use an separate cord for tilt instead of a wand
  • Optional upgraded controls
    • Continuous braided polyester lift cord loop with tension device
    • Cordless child-safe operation
    • Motorized operation
